A group of young people recreate Chinese porcelain plates with a modern twist at Durham Oriental Museum!!

A group of 14 young people make replica porcelain plates based on the Oriental Museum's collections! Working with Newcastle ceramicist, David Fry, the young people visited the Oriental Museum to see the development of porcelain manufacture across the centuries. Having gained inspiration from the museum's collections they produced their own designs before making the plates themselves!
These plates will be on public display in the Stories of the World exhibition at the Oriental Museum which will coincide with the London 2012 Olympics!
