What souvenir would represent your culture? Do you have a favourite souvenir you have brough back from holiday? A momento is a saved or found object that has a deep personal signifance. Can you think of one that you have? - A Stool to Sit on?
A year ago, if you told me that right now I would be carving the seat for a stool with Maori stylized images then I would have thought you were mad. You see in secondary school I avoided woodwork, instead choosing food technology as something I would pursue as a GCSE (successfully I might add). The only DIY experience I have is sticking together a flat -pack, sometimes sticking together two just to get the right number of parts! So to be given/allowed this experience scared the living daylights out of me. - Gallery blog
Across the world in many countries the original inhabitants have succumbed to western ideologies, forgetting their past, forgetting their birthright. this is normally caused by colonization of one country by another, stealing land and wealth and subduing the original inhabitants, usually by destroying their culture in any way possible (there's many). All this in the name of "Empire" or under the cause of "safeguarding the realm"
